Without C75 the 75S and 32S are connected directly together using two cables, with one end plugged into each of the units.
With C75 a Y connectors split the cables coming from the 75S into two cables, one going to the 32S, the other to the C75.
Two Y connectors are required, one for each signal (PTO and HFO). You are simply supplying a tap on the PTO and HFO signals for the C75. A Y connector is simply a splitter that provides two outputs from one input.

Here I got an inquiry from one of the buyers of Ron's DFD-103.　Ｈｅ is asking the following:

I am going to use this display for my Collins KWS-1, and I wonder　if it is okay to directly connect the input connector to the PTO
of the KWS-1.　I referred to the instruction manual of DFD-103, but nothing is described as to the input voltage range of the display unit. Is the input voltage range of a couple of milivolts up to dozens of volts tolerable?

Please answer the above-question at the earliest possible date because the customer is going to connect the unit soon.

The input is protected by back-to-back diodes so generally cannot harm DFD　but it is not good to use a level above about 2V p-p as it can cause　distortion of the signal in the radio generating unwanted harmonics.
If signal is much over 2V p-p the put a 10K potentiometer across the signal　and take output to DFD from wiper. Adjust pot for just enough level to make　DFD work.

I think there may already be a trimpot inside the DFD-103 as I think it uses　the same power conditioning board as the C75. Take out the single screw in　the middle of the bottom and slide the unit out. If it is there set it for　zero level (fully CCW I think) then adjust CW until counter shows frequency
