Shigeru Kajiwara is the pioneer Japanese Enka singer, who first
created Japanese Enka songs translated into
English, and charmingly and skilfully sings
his English Enka songs himself! He is also
a famous MC and multi-talented personality
who appears on Asahi TV station programs
and/or in various mass-media.
A couple of months ago he published a book
called HOW TO SPEAK. This most interesting
book written by him concerns the recent youngsters'
ways of speaking Japanese, quite different
from those of older generations.
This website was set up by one of his fans
who love his Enka songs in English from the
bottom of his heart.
On May 10th 2004 he appeared on TV Asahi
program, " Tetsuko's Room", and
he
was interviewed by another famous TV talent.,
Tetsuko Kuroyanagi. At the onset of
the program he sang one of his English Enka
Songs , Northern Bar.
He introduced his latest book focused on
Japanese youngsters' strange expressions;
titled HOW TO SPEAK. which is now very well
sold, amounting to 80000 copies on the
Japanese book market.
